Photoshoot – July 2010

Down at Studio 2 in Waterloo, London at 8.00am on Friday I was getting my Friday feeling on and preparing myself for a long day full of photo and video shoots. 6.30am saw me getting up, reaching for my sunglasses and desperately trying to tame my wild child curly hair! London was sunny, busy as always and as we traveled in a little mini cooper filled with props, clothes, makeup, I was wide eyed with excitement and couldn’t wait for the day ahead.

I have had many photo shoots and experimented with different looks, props and locations, but this was just amazing. I have a secret obsession with sunglasses and the stylist had brought 30+ pairs of vintage and designer sunglasses. Its fair to say I was pretty gob smacked and couldn’t wait to try them all on. I particularly loved a pair of gold vintage Lady Gaga style, they were definitely a highlight of the day. I was slightly scared to put them on though because they were so delicate!

We did have to stop shooting for a brief moment when one of the team decided to make tea and gave all the studios and the entire street a power cut. It was a welcomed break though as those lights were incredibly hot, so thanks Dave!

The end results are overwhelming and makes all the heat of the bright lights, never ending long days and hard work very rewarding. These shoots just get better and better, I am looking forward to the next one and can’t wait to see which pair of stunning sunglasses my stylist comes with in the future!
